MILWAUKEE- Tropical Storm Isaac is threatening Florida -- and Wisconsin is ready to help. Some folks at the Red Cross are packed up, and hopping on a plane to Florida Friday. When they touch down, they'll have to wait and see where the storm hits, and then it's right to work.Ivory Parks has worked with the Red Cross for 15 years, and is just hours away from her deployment to Florida to help with Tropical Storm Isaac, but she doesn't know exactly where she'll end up.She doesn't know when the storm will hit, but when it does she'll be in charge of a shelter and making sure everyone has all the food, clothing, and resources possible. There's already talk of possibly getting people out of Florida."If there needs to be an evacuation, the decision will be made to do so," announced Florida Governor Rick Scott. And it could be a big one. The storm could become a hurricane just as the Republican National Convention is set to start on Monday."The hotels they're staying in could very well be damaged and we could have governors and Senators so on and so forth looking for a place to stay," explained Frank Russ of the Red Cross. Some of the Red Cross crews heading down to Florida are the same ones that helped out during the Sikh temple shooting. For more information click on the Red Cross link
