Last week we did wrote about smartphone accessories for moms, and this week were moving on to dads. Buying accessories for mom can be tough, but buying for dads can be even tougher as they usually have a specific idea of what they want. Does he want an extended battery? A docking station, perhaps? It's really hard to tell sometimes.
Here, though, we've done all the accessory thinking for you and paired down your choices as best we can. With any luck you'll be able to waltz right into your local Radio Shack and purchase an accessory he'll love.
Read on to see some of the best smartphone accessories for fathers below.
Morphie Powerstation. We mentioned this on our mothers' list and for dads it's still a wonderful choice. The Morphie Powerstation is a perfect gift for anyone, especially dads who use their smartphones a lot. The portable charger is basically a power pack you stick in your pocket and can be used to charged any iPhone or Android smartphone on a moment's notice. It's launching later this month.
Griffin Protector. The Griffin Protector case is stylish and protects iPhones with ease. It is especially great for those moments when a child grabs a smartphone and tosses it across the room. It's great for dads and will protect his device from almost anything.
3-in-1 USB Universal Travel Charger. The 3-in-1 Travel Charger is a jackknife of chargers with many ports for all different sorts of smartphones. The travel charger combines the functionality of a car charger, usb charger, and wall charger. With the 3-in-1 you can charge your phone from almost anywhere, including the car.
QuickCell Portable Wireless Speaker. The QuickCell Portable Speaker is fun for dads who listen to music on the go. It's small and the compact speaker plugs right into the 3.5mm headset jack on his phone so dad can hear the music on his phone wherever he wants. As someone who actually owns one of these, I can tell you it's great.
Freedom Pro Bluetooth Keyboard. The Freedom Pro Keyboard is great for working dads who never know when they have to write up a quick, long e-mail. It unfolds in seconds and comes with a dock for the smartphone. The keyboard is a bit pricey, but worth it if you have a lot of urgent e-mails when traveling.
